Today I got an email telling me my blog auto-renewed. I was going to cancel my subscription, but instead I decided to put that $48 to good use and get back to something I love – sharing my thoughts and opinions with literally no one asking for them.

So, hello…again.

Maybe this time I’ll be a little more consistent – who knows? I sure will try! Somehow I know this thing makes its way around to people I don’t know, so I should probably go ahead and update everyone a little bit about the things that have happened since I last wrote in May.

Biggest news: Buddy and I got engaged. For those of you that know me, it’s literally the only thing I talk about so bear with me on this since you’ve heard about it a million times. In true “us” fashion, he proposed on the London Eye during a wine tasting – which was one of our first dates the year before. Even after all of the wine…and there was a lot, I remember every detail. It definitely surpassed what every little girl dreams of in terms of the proposal moment. Our date is set for August 10th of this year and I truthfully CANNOT WAIT. If anyone would want a fully dedicated wedding post with details let me know! It’s basically the only thing on my mind every day…

This brings us to the most stressful thing I’ve ever had to deal with – applying for a visa. It is truly mind-boggling that I had to petition the English government to get married – literally my marriage is in the hands of someone other than myself. The control freak in me is absolutely screaming. After piles of paperwork (no lie I had to send off over 1,500 pages of our text history), more money than I’d like to admit, and lots of tears, I sent everything off. It’ll take about 12 weeks to process and return, so fingers crossed I’ll be back in London come May! When that time comes it’ll be serious wedding crunch time – and I’ll be starting my second visa process to be able to work and fully live in England with Buddy. I am SO ready for long distance to be a thing of the past. We also bought a house in England so I’m really becoming a full-fledged adult here. Which is oddly exhilarating and terrifying.

Ok how freaking cute is he????!! I’m so lucky I get that man to wake up to every day.IMG_4838

When I’m not trying to plan an international wedding, I’m doing makeup. Truthfully I need to find a way to make a career out of this hobby. Being able to sit down and create something in any sense is quite honestly the only time I feel truly calm and content. I’ll add some photos of looks I’ve done recently – I’m really stepping out of my comfort zone with some color! I will definitely be creating more blog content based solely on makeup since that’s kind of how this whole thing started.

Truthfully, it’s just so therapeutic! If anyone’s looking to learn a thing or two – I’m your girl. I’ve always contemplated starting a YouTube channel as well.. let me know your thoughts on that because if people actually would want that kind of thing I’d be more than willing to put the effort into it!

Right now I’m in such a transitional period. Literally everything will be changing in a few weeks (new home, new country, no job, new friends to make) and sometimes it’s hard to sit back and really enjoy it. I have a bad habit of stressing myself out – it’s one thing I’m annoyingly good at.  Truthfully though, I have to be the luckiest person in the world to be given all of these new and exciting adventures. It’s almost like I’m getting a blank canvas – which can sound really overwhelming but I’m more excited than anything. I am making it a point to stop and relish in the fact that I am unbelievably loved and blessed – what more could a girl want?

Moral of the story: life is good – really freaking good.
